We know our clients and understand their requirement and vision. This space had to be envisioned from scratch and no stone was left unturned to achieve the end product.

Masterclass is a spacious, stylish and luxurious salon and the designing of the space has been crafted keeping high functionality and blissful ambiance. The salon’s transparent frontage raises the internal aspect and contributes a sense of unity within the entire space.

The big challenge: More styling stations mean more potential revenue for the salon yet you don’t want to overcrowd it with too many workstations. Spacious workstation equals to concentrated and personalized attention to each client. Mirrors and Walnut wood panels have been used as a material to achieve the length required ,as space was crunched on height, this helped us build the height perception. Workstations were custom designed to ensure functionality and to fulfill the client’s requirement.

Lighting plays a very important role in any expanse. We used different light styles to create the right atmosphere. Hang task lights above each section and wall-mounted secondary feature lighting for ambiance was the right fit.

Pedicure, manicure stations. Now, who doesn’t love to be pampered in those extra relaxing lazy boy chairs? These stations have been designed using multiple units yet keeping a balanced space for easy functionality and giving privacy to each station.

10.jpgMinimalistic yet strong decor points: Too many decor elements on the wall makes space heavy and busy. The decor was kept to the point, Minimalistic, elegant and sophisticated.

The L-shaped space challenged us to ensure to keep the prime activities in the front section and the leisure activities at the back section, connecting both through an enclosed corridor. The front section accommodates reception, cabin, workstations, nail bar & pantry, while the other accommodates 3 massage rooms, washroom, corridor, storage & lockers for staff.

Effective water force and supply are very essential at any salon as cleansing is a very important aspect. The entire plumbing system was concealed and planned to ensure smooth flow at the hair wash and pedicure/ manicure stations.

The only ventilation point in the entire space was located at the back section, this posed a challenge while designing – HVAC  as we had to ensure appropriate air circulation throughout the expanse.

With an experience of designing salons across Nairobi, we ensure that our designs are highly functional and sustain for a long period of time so the primary objective to conduct business is not lost.
